Christmas and New Year Opening Times:
Monday 22nd December – 08:00am to 12:45pm and 13:45pm to 18:00pm
Tuesday 23rd December – 08:00am to 12:45pm and 13:45pm to 18:00pm
Wednesday 24th December – 08:00am to 12:45pm and 13:45pm to 16:00pm
Thursday 25th December – CLOSED
Friday 26th December – CLOSED
Monday 29th December – 08:00am to 12:45pm and 13:45pm to 18:00pm
Tuesday 30th December – 08:00am to 12:45pm and 13:45pm to 18:00pm
Wednesday 31st December – 08:00am to 12:45pm and 13:45pm to 16:00pm
Thursday 1st January – CLOSED
Friday 2nd January – 08:00am to 12:45pm and 13:45pm to 18:00pm

During the times of 16:00pm and 18:30pm on Wednesday 24th and Wednesday 31st December, patients requiring urgent medical treatment, that cannot wait until the practice reopens, should follow the below instructions:
- In a medical emergency dial 111 or 999.
- Cover for less urgent treatment, that cannot safely wait until the practice reopens, is being provided by DHU Healthcare (out of hours provider). Patients can call DHU directly on 0300 323 0671 to seek medical advice or urgent access to prescription medications. Please note that patients should only call this number between the hours of 16:00pm and 18:00pm on Wednesday 24th & Wednesday 31st December.
- Patients can attend the following sites for access to urgent treatment:
- Merlyn Vaz Health Centre, 1 Spinney Hill Road, Leicester, LE5 3GH
- Oadby Urgent Treatment Centre, 18 The Parade, Oadby, Leicester, LE2 5BJ
- Loughborough Urgent Treatment Centre (closest to Coalville), 53 Goods Yard Close, Loughborough, LE11 5EB
- Patients can continue to submit non-urgent electronic requests to the practice via the NHS App, our practice website, or the post box outside the practice during the closure periods. Please be reminded that this is for routine, non-urgent requests only, that will be responded to within the next 2 working days.
Prescription Ordering
Please check your prescription medicines early and if you will need more medication over the bank holiday period, please get your requests in as follows:
For prescriptions to be collected by Wednesday 24th December 2025, please submit your prescription requests by Wednesday 17th December at the latest.
For prescriptions to be collected by Wednesday 31st December 2025, please submit your prescription requests by Tuesday 23rd December at the latest.
